i have been on birth control for the past 8 years, mostly the pill. i tried nuvaring for a year, but the past 6 months i've been back on the pill. i haven't missed one in ages... so, three days ago i started what seems to be my period, but it is a week early! this has never happened to me before. i've had break through bleeding before, but this is different. i tried to call my doctor, but of course she hasn't called me back. i may be worrying too much, but it's pretty unusual for me.

That's the thing about a woman's body-it has a mind of it's own. I had a lot of things that happened while I was on birth control that wasn't normal for me. Usually, it's nothing but if you are concerned you can make an appointment to talk to your doctor.
