Hi...

Just wondering if anyone could offer a little advice. My hubby, son and I are out of state for 4 weeks while hubby is in school. Since we've arrived, hubby and I have had allergy problems (mine have somewhat dissipated), and Logan, who's 10 months old this month, started getting a runny nose.

I attributed it to allergies, as he's been sneezing a little, though not really a whole lot more than usual. He then started having coughing bouts every now and then, and now he is hoarse. He does not have a fever.

I've looked up symptoms of babies' colds and allergies and the symptoms seem to overlap a little. If he's not better by Monday, I'm going to call his ped and possibly take him to one here. He doesn't seem very cranky or upset by his symptoms, and I've given him infant drops for cold and cough twice. I'm not exactly worried, as he hasn't had a fever and seems happy enough, but I do feel bad and know that he is at the very least uncomfortable at times.

Just wondering if any of you have experience that might be able to clarify if it's a cold or allergies... and if you have any suggestions to help him feel better.

Hi
Hello, I am not a pro/Dr/nurse.........just a Mom. It sounds to me like Logan has allergies as well. If he's not running a fever, eats well and bowel & kidney functions are normal, then its possible allergies is the culpret. You are in a different environment, plus things are always bloomins somewhere. You stated he was happy and acted fine. I use to panic everytime my daughter got a runny nose or coughed! Natures way of getting rid of something! Hope you all get over this soon! Laughing
