I Feel Bad ...

I just wish I could feel better. Crying
or Very sad I am running to the bathroom every five minutes thanks to some loose stools (sorry tmi). I am so stuffed up that I feel miserable. I can't take my allergy meds anymore (zyrtec D). It will all be worth it in the end though. I just wish I didn't feel like crud.

I had a sinus infection in my first trimester and couldn't take anything either Sad but something that helped me a bit was "simply saline". You should be able to find it at your local pharmacy. That + a steamy shower should help a bit.

Sorry you're feeling sick Sad

oh, i can totally relate to both posts so far! i had a terrible sinus infection during my second month of pregnancy. it actually go so bad, that i ended up in the emergency room. Sad

i also have asthma. i'm allowed to use my inhaler, but only when i really need it. during the sinus infection, i was using it approx. once a day. sometimes, more. i also went through a ton of dimetapp cold & allergy syrup, which i was told by my doctor was perfectly safe to take during early pregnancy. i'm now 5 and a half months pregnant, and .Joleigh is doing great! she's a strong, healthy baby.

so don't worry too much about being sick. it happens. just get plenty of rest & keep up with your fluids. i wish you well & a speedy recovery. it sucks being sick on top of being pregnant, but women are made to be strong, so you'll be okay. Smile

I'm sorry your feeling bad. Sad

Are you allowed to take claritin when your pregnant? For some reason I thought you could, but I might be way off.

I hope your feeling better soon!

I can take claritin but it doesn't help. Nothing really helps except the humidifier and a hot shower. Those don't help for very long though. I have nasal spray and am trying Sudafed but so far I still feel like crud. I also have asthma by the way and that just makes it 10x worse.

Wow...that sucks. I can't imagine feeling like that and not being able to do anything about it. I'm sure your tired too, which can't help, because I'm asuming if your having trouble breathing your sleeping can't be to great.

Maybe you should get one of those allergy masks. It would look...interesting...but you might feel better. What are you allergic to?

Do you think your stomache is upset because of something you ate or pregnancy?

I am sorry that you feel so icky! I used this stuff called "Ocean" and it made it a little better. I used a humidifier at night too. Thankfully I have been allergy free this last trimester. I really don't understand it but I am thankful for it!

i kno whow that is, i had to stop my zyrtecwhen i got pregnant, i used nose sprays though. i never tried claritin when i was pregnant, i think most tylenol products are safe, ive taken tylenol cold products when pregnant with my daughter at times. sudafed didnt do anything for me either. i dunno if maybe u can take actifed im not sure, most meds are ok u just gotta ask the dr first. even reg strength tylenol says consult a physician if pregnant or breastfeeding. and most products now dont contain pseudoephedrine anymore so they arent as bad.

The thing is my body is just so used to precription strength allergy meds that nothing is going to work. I am just going to try to wean myself off everything. I take benadryll before I go to bed at night because it help unstuff me a little bit. I do have the ocean spray but when my sinuses get clogged there is not much I can do.

Christy- In answer to your question, it would be more appropriate to ask what I am not allergic to.
