Q: My Cycle Is Driving Me Crazy ...

Seriously! I just want to pull my hair out!!

I had to take a 10 cycle of prometrium to start my cycle. Here I am 6 days later and...nothing! I'm having cramps and headaches, but no sign of af. I'm now on cd 63. I'm seriously going crazy. And on top of all that, ff is saying that I may have o'ed on tues/wens, which is just flipping me out...Is that even possible???? Heck if I know....I don't know anything anymore. (did I mention I'm having some nasty mood swings?)

And then there is fathers day. Sad That has always been a bad holiday for me, but now that there will be so many more fathers around (except my dh) It's going to be very hard.

Anyways, Sorry guys, I just needed to rant some.

You are totally justified in your mood swings and frustration. I know I would have been jumping off the nearest bridge if I was on day 63.

So in the other post you said that you had a "weird" hpt result???? What was weird about it?

I also went back to an old post that you had your chart posted and I don't see where they say you might have "o"ed. It also doesn't show the dates. Are you still updating it? Do you have the current cycle showing to share on your page? Just trying to take a good look.

Don't let this weekend get you down. I am guessing that you are not going to be with your dad for father's day? I think that you and dh should go out and have a nice time the both of you and not even mention the fact that it is father's day.

I hope you feel better Christy...

I'm chalking it up to an 'invalid' result. I took the test and you can see when the fluid is running up the strip. Well, when it got to where the 'result' line was, it hesitated, and showed up as a faint line, right away. Shocked Then it went to the 'control' line, and it didn't show up a whole lot darker. So I was left with two very faint lines. I have never had a faint control line...never. Then I took another test later that day, and it was a bfn. So, I'm just counting the first one as invalid.

I am updating it. I have only had one 'cycle' on ff so, I would assume that it is the one that I am sharing. But, I can't get to it from work, so I'm not sure. I have to have an elevated temp tomorrow too for the cover line to show up. They were just saying because of the 'watery cm' that I could be fertile. (I just thought it was because of the progesterone) and that I should watch to see if my temps elevate to verify 'o'. Well, progesterone raises your temp, so I knew that my temp wouldn't be higher after stopping the progesterone. But it is. It has been at 97.5(ish) for the last two days, which is higher then when I was on the progesterone. So, that is confusing the heck out of me.

Yeah, no fathers day for me. I havn't spoken to my dad in almost 7 years, and I'm slightly bitter about the whole situation. So, I've never been a fan of fathers day. But I do have a step-dad that I have to go see. And his son (the one that just had a baby) will probably be there. It's really not a big deal. I'm just being a baby right now. Embarassed

Christy, when you get home today look at your chart and then on the sharing homepage. At the bottom look to see if your cycle is selected and showing on the left. Also under the privacy make sure the auto update is checked. I don't see the cm that you are entering either. I don't know if that will do anything, but on yours it doesn't show the dates or the cm that's why I was wondering.

That sucks about the invalid result. I thought you might be getting those faint positives again. How are you feeling from your ruptured cyst? Do you still need the strong pain killers?

I am glad to help you feel better anytime. You are always there when i need a pick me up also... Thank you for that as well.

Yeah I am starting to get excited but I still have a month and a half before my pap so I am still waiting. I am thinking about starting to take the Ovulex again at the begining of July. I had some left over from before we had to use condoms, so I thought I might give my body a headstart before we try again.
I am about to start af. I feel like I am going to start today, and that would make me only have a 10 day luteal phase. Hopefully she will wait until Sunday like ff says and then I will have my usual 12 day luteal phase.

oh and I made it through yesterday smoke free, so I am now on my 5th day of no smoking... other than the few puffs I had the other day.

When I get home I will check my settings. I'm not sure If I hit the auto update, so, You might be seeing the same thing it was back then. Embarassed

I am feeling alot better. The only problems I'm having now are these cramps. They are horrible, but they are pretty uncomfortable, and sometimes they are really bad. But, I'll take that over the cyst anyday!

Does the ovulex effect your cycle at all?

Great job on the smoking!! It will get easier over the next week or two. it's the first few days that are the hardest.

When I took the Ovulex before it really regulated my cycle. Before I had 24-28 day cycles, but after I started taking them they eventually got back to 26 days and that is where they have been until last cycle... If you can afford it, it might help you to get regular. It doesn't have any side effects that I noticed. It makes you have more cm and in general makes you feel better.

I am going to try sooo hard to keep up with the no smoking. I have a feeling that tonight will be hard. Friday is usually the only night dh and I do anything or go out with our friends. The way I see it is that if I do end up haveing one or two tonight, and none the rest of the weekend, then it is better than smoking the whole weekend. I can't kill myself for falling off the horse...I just have to keep getting back on and trying!!!

Heather I'm so sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult cycle. Cudos to you because I definitely would have pulled all my hair out by now.
What does your doctor say? Is there anything else they can do? All these extra hormones can't be pleasant either.
Vent all you want, you are completely entitiled!

I have an appointment with my doctor on .friday. (next, not today). I have to give it two weeks to work and then I have to go in for a pregnancy test before they can give me anything else. So, I'm stuck patiently waiting for af or next friday, whichever comes first...

Cheryl, it's Christy that is having the difficult cycle, not me...Unfortunatly I am waiting for af to show her face in a day or two.
When are you supposed to start af? Last cycle we were on the same day and I think we still are.

Oops! Sorry Heather, I meant to say Kristy!
I'm on cd 24, 14dpo. I o'd on cd 10 this month, so I think AF is going to show earlier. I got a BFN this am...so I'm sure AF will be here within a couple of days.
We're cycle twins!

I think that's a good idea...I would just make big plans to go out and have fun, go shopping, go to dinner, or see a movie or something. Then change the name of the day to ummm.... Christy or Terra day!!! Laughing

I'm sorry you guys don't have good relationships with your fathers'. I have a decent relationship with mine, but I have a much better one with my stepdad. My real dad tries to be my friend where as my stepdad acts like a parent to me.

That's ok girly, vent away...

I will add to your vent. I knew that af was coming soon, and on sunday she came and boy did she come. I had to double up on my pain meds this time as my cramps were horrible. I was getting these waves of pain which I thought was strange. I have never had cramps like that.

I hope you had a good weekend.

That doesn't sound good. Where you taking any meds this cycle?

I'm expecting to get af like never before...and I'm not looking forward to it. And the temping thing just has me all confused. I've been updating it and it said that after three days of a raised temp it would indicate o'ing. But, I have had three temps that are high (higher than almost ever before, even when I was on the progesterone) and it still hasn't given me any cross hairs. So I'm assuming that my temp is elevated because I will be starting soon. I give up....

I wasn't taking anything this cycle. The cramps are getting better. I should be fine by tonight.

As far as ff and the crosshairs, you also need to indicate your cm to help it decide when you ovulate. Or with the opk results. When you put those in along with the temps, you should get a crosshair either dotted or solid.

Your temp will go down when af is on her way. So as soon as you get a temp dip, she should come either that day or the next.

I'm glad you feeling better. You would think that sence you were late last month, those cramps would have been worse. I hope they are gone by tomorrow.

Yeah, I haven't used any opks. I honestly, didn't/don't think that there was a chance of me o'ing. I just can't wait until next cycle, hopefully, that will be much easier to chart. :fingers crossed: I go to the doctor on friday, so I will probably start on thursday...that is just how it works. If I do make it until friday I will be on cd70. so I hope It doesn't make it that long!

That sucks! I hope that your doctor will be able to help you find out what is going on with you. Good luck at the doctors. Let us know how it goes
