Paragaurd -- Copper Iud And Still Bleeding With Bcp Posted: 06-14-07 22:48pm
I have usually used the Mirena as birth
control. But since my last daughter was
born we decided to use the paragaurd since
I feel I'm done having children. I had
this put in 2 weeks ago, and I was lightly
having a period then...I am heavily period
now. For 2 weeks.
The catcher is I take ortho tricyclen
continuously active pills only b/c I get
cysts. So I stopped so I could start and
get the IUD in, then started a new batch
on Sunday, 2 days after insertion. I
still am bleeding! Even on the pills.
I have called my doctor 2 times, but no
return call.
ah i read your post but you worded it all
funny or im just retarded but i cant make
sense of what you are asking etc.
Are you taking the pills with the IUD in
place or what? im somewhat confuzzled on
this one lol maybe im tired.

From what I understand, you were at first
taking orth tricyclen skipping the active
pills to prevent cysts. I would first like
to say I don't know who told you to do
that but ortho tricyclen is not one to
take continuously. If you have a problem
with cysts you need to be on a monophasic
pill (which means the same hormone all the
time).
Now you are off birth control and had the
paraguard put in but are experience
continual bleeding. I personally don't
know about paraguard but if you give me a
little bit I will look it up for you. In
the meantime, go ahead and give your doc a
ring and see what they say. It couldn't
hurt.
