I have usually used the Mirena as birth control. But since my last daughter was born we decided to use the paragaurd since I feel I'm done having children. I had this put in 2 weeks ago, and I was lightly having a period then...I am heavily period now. For 2 weeks.

The catcher is I take ortho tricyclen continuously active pills only b/c I get cysts. So I stopped so I could start and get the IUD in, then started a new batch on Sunday, 2 days after insertion. I still am bleeding! Even on the pills.

I have called my doctor 2 times, but no return call.

From what I understand, you were at first taking orth tricyclen skipping the active pills to prevent cysts. I would first like to say I don't know who told you to do that but ortho tricyclen is not one to take continuously. If you have a problem with cysts you need to be on a monophasic pill (which means the same hormone all the time).

Now you are off birth control and had the paraguard put in but are experience continual bleeding. I personally don't know about paraguard but if you give me a little bit I will look it up for you. In the meantime, go ahead and give your doc a ring and see what they say. It couldn't hurt.
