Q: Am I Bipoler ?

About a year ago i was diagonsed as bipoler. At the time I was quite content with the doctors assesment. Mostly I was happy with it because it got me quite a lot of sympthy from my family. Instead of having to face up to all the things I had been doing it was like I could say "Hey! I only was like that because I was bipoler and not on meds." Now I never saw myself as bipoler for a couple of reasons. When the doctor diagonsed me it was for one main reason. The fact that I was staying up for days sometimes a week at a time. I told them that I was doing so without being on any drugs. That was a lie. I was at the time taking a couple hundred mgs of adderall a day and that was keeping me up.

Its been almost a year now and im finally shrugging off my past and trying to attempt to live my life. I've always known I was depressed and im finally feeling like im winning out against my depression. Im stepping out of the fog now and looking to the future. My problem now is with what i want to do with my life. I want to join the navy and work with there fire rescue unit so that i can become a firefighter. My family does not want me to because they know i have to get off my meds to join the military. They are scared i will go crazy without my bipoler meds. The thing is i havent taken my bipoler meds for a really long time. Like for almost half a year. I told them all of these except for me not taking my meds part. They are still conviced i have bipoler because of a rage issues i have.
Can some wone give me some advice?

I Lost It.
Hey

I had written a whole load of advice and then I pressed something wrong and lost it!

So lets start from scratch.

Lack of sleep will make you go crazy for sure! Your family and doctor need to know the truth. Not that it will change their minds, but the truth is always good.

You would have to explain this rage issue thing to me before I pass any premature judgment on to you in the form of "advice".

Otherwise, try to stay calm and listen to people. Lay of the coffee, sugar and/or alcohol.

Go with the flow... It might not be a bad idea to pray for some patience.
