Q: Air In My Eye ? Allergies ? Severe Eye Strain ?

It's been 5 months now and these red, burning veins in my eyes will not go away. The doctor keeps saying I have allergies after shining a light in my eye and that's it. I have tried everything I can think of including supplements like Eyebright and Flaxoil. I have also tried allergy eye drops, namely Opcon A and Allegra. Nothing seems to help. It feels like my left eye is on fire. I also noticed that when I rub my eyes or even close them, there is a loud popping sound like air actually in my eye. I don't think that is normal.

So I have a few questions, can air actually be trapped in a person's eye? Also, can allergies effect one eye only? And lastly, can severe eye strain from the computer, video games, too much TV cause redness? Thank you.
