ok, i'm having a weird day today. i've
been having non stop braxton hicks all day
and the baby just seems to be moving a lot
in there. this morning i had a couple of
'things' where i coulda swore they were
real contractions because they came from
the back to the front and felt like really
bad menstrual cramps. i even had to
breathe through one of them. i've had a
sore back the past couple of days. i'm 34
and a half weeks now so i'm wondering if
this is just warm ups for labour. i don't
want to be a drama queen and call the
doctor yet. if i get any more of those
painful cramps maybe i will but for now i
guess i'll just wait. does any of this
sound familiar to anyone?

I'll be 37 weeks on .monday and i've been
getting a lot more braxton hicks
contractions, but i haven't felt any (at
least i don't think i have). I know that
some women can feel them. if i were you, i
would try to lie down for an hour and
count how many contractions you have. if
you have more than 4, call your doctor and
see what s/he says.

PTL isn't something to play with. I would
say call your dr, drink a bunch of water,
and lay on your left side and see how that
does. BH's aren't supposed to hurt and
you're not supposed to have more than 4 an
hour. Dr's are there for you! If you are
concerned then you need to call them. If
you are in ptl then the longer you wait
the worse it will get.

the regular ones aren't hurting, they're
just a bunching up and tightening feeling.
it's just that i've been getting so many
today and i don't know if that's normal or
something to worry about. the painful
things i had this morning haven't
returned. i got them while i was lying
down. i haven't had any discharge or
anything. if it happens one more time i
will definitely call the doctor right
away. for now i think i'm just gonna take
it easy and cancel my housework for today.

Yep, just put your feet up and relax!
That's the best thing to do.

I had those a few weeks ago and my doctor
told me to come in. I had them pretty
close together. He said that even if it
was a braxton hicks contraction, that
having them so close together could be a
concern. I was checked out and everything
seemed fine. I was told to drink more
water and relax more. I haven't gotten a
lot since that time. I do believe that our
bodies are preparing. I would at least
call your doctor.
