ok call me nuts, but seems that i am the only one around that had the sugery done the old fashion way, not only do i have the small incision at the belly button, but i got a long slice just under my rib, when they could not do it the other way. Sad
and ohhhh wow do i hurt, had sugery 6 days ago, on a friday, they let me leave the hospital on monday, even though i had had no bowel movement, took two more days before slightly haveing one. but the pain is just WOW, i never thought i was such a whimp. like everyone else, post op instructions, were horrid, no lifting, no driving, see your doctor in two weeks, well i see him on the 18th, but have no idea what i can or cant eat, and even walking around is lets say not so easy, never the less standing straight up. am i alone here???????

Especially eHealthy
the first week following the surgery is always painful, i had it laproscopically (sp) so yeah you might be in a bit more pain then the rest of us, there arent really any dietary restrictions followin the surgery although some people say that eating high fat or fried foods still cause problems afterwards mostly loose bowels they stay away from them while others can eat it just fine. Your body has to get used to that empty space being there now. So it will hurt quite a bit, 6 wks post surgery you should be back to normal if not id return to the dr again to make sure all is fine. WIth the foods its trial and error because not ever person is the same post surgery.
