I'm not sure if this is right board for this topic but here goes.
I have this theory that significant time spent playing video games can lead to GAD and depression. I have no scientific evidence to back this up, its just a thought I had today.
When you live in the video game world or in a massive multiplayer online world you learn how to communicate and interact in that virtual world. When the person is forced to leave the virtual world they must adapt very quickly and actually show themselves to the public. It seems like two very different world with very different dynamics and outcomes.
I was engrossed in online gaming and felt this happening to me. I gave it all up about 2 years ago.
Any thoughts or comments?
