if i had sex 5 nights ago, am i able to take a pregnancy test now ? if not how soon?

You need to wait until your period is late and then take a test.

I also agree... you need to wait until you are late for your period before you take a test. Or if you know when it should come, then you can get one of the brands that tests up to 5 days early...first responce I think!
