I've been on birth control for 2-3 years now...my period has always came on the same day (3 days after i finish my pills)... this last time my period came on the day before i usually finish. The weird thing is it's been hardly there until today (the usual day i get it) and now it's EXTREMELY heavy (lots of glops)...is that normal?? What would cause that to happen??

I do have unprotected sex with my fiance, but i take my pill every day at the same time and never miss it. I've been really tired lately too and have had a few weird pains in my abdomen.

If i were you id give your OBGYN a call to find out, sometimes the pill can cause ectopic pregnancys in rare occuranses (sp) or it could be a cyst or something but if its not normal i would get it checked out by your GYNO to find out whats going on.

I agree with tink. If you are worried go ahead and at least call your doctor. I can say from my experience though that my period went through so many changes on the pill that I wouldn't worry too much. It can vary a lot from month to month. I hope everything is ok!
