Does This Sound Like Anxiety ? Posted: 06-13-07 15:54pm
I know that I do have reasons to be
anxious, but most of those reason are
these symptoms.
1) Lump in the throat / sore throat -
awkward feeling when swallowing.
2) Stomach aches / strange empty type
feeling in the stomach.
3) A tingling skin on my left arm.
4) Pins and needles feeling in the head /
face.
This is what the doctor has told me it is,
but until I can actually put my mind at
ease I will still alway have these
problems.
I know you cannot diagnose anything over
the internet, but do these sound like
symptoms of stess? Just after a 2nd
opinion.

All are well known symptoms of anxiety.
However, you should have them checked out
anyway, if only for your peace of mind.

Yes, anxiety for sure, no doubt about it.
Do fell free to consult with a specialist,
but the answer will be the same.

I agree with zu_ get checked just for your
piece of mind but it does sound like
classic anxiety. Have you tried cbt? It
has changed my life dramatically more than
I ever thought anything could. I highly
recommend cbt for panic, anxiety and
stress. If you can't afford a cbt group
pick up a copy of been there, done that?
Do this! By sam obitz and start doing the
tea form exercise in it. This is one of
the two books we used in my group. Take
care and know you can get better if you
learn to think more objectively about your
symptoms through the cbt exercises. The
more you work on the exercises the more
relief you get. Good luck!
