I have been experiencing extremely heavy periods and I am passing large clots or tissue of some sort. I have had my tubes tied for several years so I know it can't be anything to do with a pregnancy. What could be causing this?

Hey..
Sometimes my periods are worse then others. Some months my period gets really heavy, and I get really bad cramps, and I pass these huge clots. It freaks me out everytime, but my mother told me that it happens to alot of women. I am sorry I can't tell you why it happens, or help you in anyway, but I can tell you that you are not alone.

Heavy Periods......
Hi, I had these really heavy periods for many years, and I was finally diagnosed with fibroid tumors. They are non-cancerous in 99% of all cases, but they were causing me severe anemia, so I sought treatment. My gyn told me I needed a hysterectomy, but I was only 40 years old at the time, and I found this less invasive procedure. It is called uterine fibriod embolization. I was back to work in 4 days, and my period is not heavy at all any more. Plus I have all my parts intact. You should check it out. This was the best thing I have ever done for my health.
