I have Acid Reflux but the pills to fix it seem to give me headaches (similar to caffine withdrawl) about the time the pill should be wearing off... It takes a few days of taking the pills for it to become apparent. (First noticed with Prilosec, then i took something generic to test about a week later and it did the same thing.)

I have done a lot of searching on Google about the possible root causes and I believe my primary problem is my caffine intake. (2x 44oz Drinks a day plus 1 or 2 12oz cans) -- Needless to say with this information and that fact that the Dr Pepper is also causeing weight gaine I am planning to stop all intake for at least one weak to start... Permanent is the plan and I know the first few days is going to hurt like no other...

My Questions are: Will the lower esophageal sphincter repair itself? Can you damage it beyond repair? How long will it take to see results -- Approx i mean.
