I just read salicylic acid ( a main ingredient in acne cleansers) can cause post inflammatory pigmentation.

Has anyone experienced this with the use of these cleansers? When low doses on the acid are used are you still at risk of getting hyperpigmentation, or is it just when the acid is in larger quantities?

I would guess you would need a higher quantity of that in order for it to make changes in your skin, pretty much most if not all acne medications contain sacylic (sp) acid in them, some people may be sensitive to these products and would cause skin pigmentation. I would speak with your dermatologist about this though to be 100% sure it might just be false information you have read.
