You can take meds for it too. Shunts are usually a last resort kind of thing. Spinal taps are used but have to be done often from what my doctor says. Monthly. I take Diamox time release and it works great. If your doctor isn't answering you questions you should really try to find a new one that will.

thx so much.since making this post i've sat down and talked with him and such.i'm luckily not hemorhaging or anything so he put me on diamox one in the morning nad 2 at night nad then also pamelor and anaprox for the migraines whenever i have one.he says i dont need spinal taps right now.i had one to diagnose it but otherwise i dont need one hopefully.he jsut gave me the medicine nad said hell see me in three months so we'll see how that goes.my only worry now is pregnancy.i want to be pregnant around next may if im not already this month(yes i did stop takin them until i know for sure).is this soemthing ill have to take forever?i try asking him but he acts like im the worst sinner in the world or something.

You can get pregnant if you want but you need to do with this your OBGYN and Neuro on board. They will have to tell you your options and what you need to do.
