ok ive been diagnosed with this after many
many tests done.and basically i jsut wanna
know wat it is.like i get that my optical
nerves are swollen but i dont get hwy or
if its causin other problems.the
neuroligist is all technical nad frankly i
didnt graduate with a phd so i need
someone to dumb it down for me some.so
basically im jsut curious wat it is and
such.i try and look it up and its all too
technical.
also wats the treatment.i read things like
routine spinal taps and a shunt.i dont
know if i can handle that.im only freakin
21.i wanna be able to be normal and play
with my son and any future children and i
dont know how id be able to wiht a hsunt
in my head.

You can take meds for it too. Shunts are
usually a last resort kind of thing.
Spinal taps are used but have to be done
often from what my doctor says. Monthly.
I take Diamox time release and it works
great. If your doctor isn't answering you
questions you should really try to find a
new one that will.

thx so much.since making this post i've
sat down and talked with him and such.i'm
luckily not hemorhaging or anything so he
put me on diamox one in the morning nad 2
at night nad then also pamelor and anaprox
for the migraines whenever i have one.he
says i dont need spinal taps right now.i
had one to diagnose it but otherwise i
dont need one hopefully.he jsut gave me
the medicine nad said hell see me in three
months so we'll see how that goes.my only
worry now is pregnancy.i want to be
pregnant around next may if im not already
this month(yes i did stop takin them until
i know for sure).is this soemthing ill
have to take forever?i try asking him but
he acts like im the worst sinner in the
world or something.

You can get pregnant if you want but you
need to do with this your OBGYN and Neuro
on board. They will have to tell you your
options and what you need to do.
