Q: I'm Not Sure What to Make of This .

Usually whenever I hear about 'abortion' and the whole choice vs. life issue it's accompanied by irrational politicians and/or arguing supporters of either side. A friend emailed me a link to this one particular site. Apparently they blog about all sorts of things but this one in particular caught my attention (they also made an accompanying comic strip for that post); if anything it's definitely an "interesting" way to convey which side they stand on.

Comic strip - http://www.shreddedmoose.com/comic/comic_a rc.php?comicID=43

*warning: if you look around their site some of their stuff can be a bit intense and "adult themed".

I won't bias any of you guys here one way or the other, I'm still trying to make up my mind over it.

well i think the guy writing this, describing a woman being pregnant is kind of a retard, and im glad my guy doesn't see it that way, i'm glad i wont be the woman ending up with him one day. (i hate these stupid filters)

and i just read the next paragraph which pissed me off also, "ladies take some responsibility to make sure you don't get pregnant."

um why should girls be the only one taking responsibility? it takes 2!

i think this guy is an fool lol

It made me chuckle.

The guy is prochoice. Although I think he's a bit brash, and I don't agree with his one sided responsibility scheme, at least he's prochoice and I don't give a hoot about those other things since he's keeping his nose out of my uterus.

An excerpt:

"I mean let’s think about this, if every time *I* had sex there was a chance I’d end up fat, bloated and pregnant for three-quarters of a year; you can be damn sure I’m going to take every precaution so that doesn’t happen. Girls, if you don’t want to get pregnant, if you don’t want to risk such a heinous consequence, take the responsibility and ensure that when the guy blows his load you’re not going to end up with labor pains as the result."

"...you can be bless sure I'm going to take every precaution...." I like the eHealth profanity filter's interpretation of that excerpt.

I'd say the article is one of the more, "colorful(?)" expressions of prochoice I've heard in a while.

The opinion that women who get pregnant obviously don't use contraception really annoys me but everyone is entitled to their opinion and at elast he's not trying to tell me i'm a mu'rderer or anything!

Putting in my late two cents... I agree that it's totally sexist and stupid that this man seems to be putting the burden of contraception totally on the woman. That's ridiculous!
