I heard that some foods may cause a false positive pregnancy test. Do any of you know what they are. If there is anything else to avoid before a pregnancy test please let me know.

No. Nothing will interfere with the results of a pregnancy test (aside from a handful of medication that have the hormon in them. I seriously doubt you are on any of them).

However, It is best to avoid drinking directly before the test. It can dilute your urine and cause a false negative.

Good luck! Are you hoping for a negative or positive?

Kind of both. I am only 17 and my boyfriend (20) and i are financialy unstable. We both want a child very much and plan on getting married no matter what. The only thing that I am worried about is the money. I am a little nervous about our parent's reaction.

Ok, so if you have a normal 28 day cycle then you are late. So, it really souldn't matter what time of day you take it. However, if you want to be on the safe side, it is recomended to take it with your fmu (firt morning urine) it has the highest concentration of the hormone in your urine.

Are you on/using any birth control?

No there was no protection. I am not on birth control. I think my average cycle is around 29 or 30 days... but that does really make much of a difference at this time. My boyfriend wants to be there when I take it so it will be hard to do it first thing in the morning.

I understand him wanting to be there. You could just save your urine from the morning. but because you are already late for your period, it isn't really necessary. Just try not to go to the bathroom or drink much in the few hours before you take the test.

Good luck. Keep us posted with the results. Are you planning to take it today or tomorrow?
