I have started taking zoloft about 2 wks ago. The past fw days I am experiencing extreme redness of the cheeks with buringing and rashyness of cheeks. I have not used any new products on my face so I have no clue whats causign it. I can only think of the zoloft. Anyone else had these side effects?

go straight back to your doctor as this may be a serious side effect. Have you ever tried prozac? They seem to work best for me with little side effects

Well I was orginally on effexor which was working great for me, but my insurance company stopped covering that specific brand. So I had to switch to zoloft, I am currently havign problems finding an anti depressant other than zoloft which my insurance co will cover. The rashyness has gone away now its just very very dry feeling only on the left side of my cheek down by my neck.

Sara-
most insurance companies will have to cover the medication if your doctor tells them there is nothing else you can take. All three of my meds my doctor overrides. Ask him if he can do that for you. Also I am on paxil cr. I started it about a week ago so I do not know how well it will work but so far no serious side effects just some minor hand tremors.
