Q: Ortho Evra And Strokes ??

My sister recently had a stroke and doctors are saying its from her use of the Ortho Evra patch. I did some surfing around and found that the patch gives women a ton more estrogen than pills do. Apparently this additional estrogen can cause blood clots, which cause strokes.

Is this common? Has anyone else heard of this?

Yes, this is a "common" serious side effect, and it is the reason that many women no longer use the patch.
