Q: Need An Cat Allergy Solution

My boyfriend and I are consolidating our households into one and we have an allergy problem. My children and I have cats and he is extremely allergic to cats, has been since he was a child. I don't want my boyfriend to have to take medicine and I don't want my children to have to give up their companions either.
We talked about building them a room in the basement so they are isolated in the house and away from him.
Need help... advise on what a good solution would be. I want us all to be a family and this is the only thing stopping that from happening.

Well if he doesn't want to take meds and you don't want to give them away, then you're not going to do very well in the living together dept. Even if they are in a separate room, if he is highly allergic, their dander and stuff will come through the vents. He will have to see if he is abole to live with it or take some sort of meds.

Cats
I have allergies and cats are on the top of my list. When I go to visit my sister I either have to take medication or I have to deal with the reaction. I can tell you that should I not take anything the visit is cut very short.
I believe you will have challenges with someone who is suffering with a cat allergy. I personally couldn't handle it. Good luck.
