Pancreatitis is not very good news, but at least this may help you to know that you aren't "crazy". I reccommend you find a specialist for the pancreatitis and then find a good counselor or therapist who can provide you with adequate medication for the anxiety. I have a similar story to your's, and my pain attacks increase monumentally with stress.

Is it chronic pancreatitis, or acute?

Please continue to post here for more ino. you are most definitely not alone.

I have not had pancreatitis, but i have something similar, and the pain is just incredible. I hope they are helping to manage your pain effectively. There are dietary adjustments you can make to help with this. Try avoiding fatty foods, alcohol, and caffeine (not much fun! Rolling Eyes ). Are they treating you for this? How are you doing? Can you ask for medication for the anxiety?

Hi, well I typed up a whole response and it got deleted when I tried to post it, so uuugggh. So to sum it up I said I am also young, 20, and I have the same feeling of why the flip is this happening because I am young and shouldn't have to deal with this at all. I am having gallbladder symptoms with pain and nausea and etc. And until today I didn't know what the problem was, and my feeling like crap goes back to February. I have and do feel a lot of anxiety due to feeling crappy and not knowing what all is wrong with me, and I even share your feeling of not being able to breathe well due to the anxiety. So I just wanted to tell you if you want to talk, I want to listen, because that's what people are doing for me, and it really helps. Medical problems majorly suck, so hang in there and I hope all gets better for you. Smile

Far Fetched
Do you drink diet soda or use a sugar substitute?

I remember a while back reading an article about bad side affects some people got from something about what was in them.

Again, this might sound far fetched, but if you do, try not using either and see if your stomach conditions change.

Sorry, I can't remember the details but, good luck.

What are you taking for the acid reflux, I had the same problem and it all started with anxiety. I went to the doctor and did a full blood work, ekg, chest xrays even a pap smear and mammogram sonogram they said nothing was wrong and said it was acid reflex and anxiety. So I was put on nexium , prilosec ,tagament, zentac etc.... The only thing those things did was make my face, neck, throat and lips go numb. All of my body ached got night sweats, dizzy and nausiated. Told doctor and he said yes but it got rid of the pain in your stomache and chest rib bone area. Yes it did but all those meds had bad side effects to me. It took me about a year to actually get rid of all the junk out of my system. It could be the meds your on. Its a bad feeling I thought I was going to die. One thing has helped and that is the zoloft for anxiety. Recently broke my leg and the pain killers and ibriprofen messed my stomach up again and lord and behold along comes the anxiety. Try to drink lots of water and stay away from pizza white breads caffein and sugar, its going to take time but in a couple of months you will start feeling better'

I was hospitalized (mental..), lost my job, became homeless at a young age (come from an unsupportive family) due to anxiety attacks caused by my gallbladder attacks. I was misdiagnosed for 4 1/2 years despite repeated ER visits and several visits to specialist. My life was and still is pretty much ruined because of this. I don't even know where to pick up the pieces.
