.Michelle: yes indeed, she's a thumb sucker .I'm hoping she breaks the habit on her own, but if not she's going to start hating .Mommy... because that thumb sucking business will be over one way or another.

how long are you going to give her to break herself of it? i think i read that like 90-95% of thumb suckers quit on their own by age 4.

I'm thinking that .I'll start maybe around 1 1/2 - 2 years old. I want to wait until she's old enough to understand when I tell her no. Isn't that around the time that people break babies of paci's?

I had originally planned to do it at 1, but that's in 2 months. No way will she understand in 2 months.
