my husband has an open wound that does not seem to want to heal. we bandage it at least 2 times a day. it was draining alot at first but now it only drains alittle. It has been open for the past 5 days. should I be concern about infection? he does not want to go to the doctor.

If you are pulling off the scab when you change bandages then that could be preventing healing. Try and make sure the bandages are a non-stick kind. Bandage very loosely, just to keep out dirt. Keep the wound dry to promote scabbing. If you don't get any healing in the next few days, I'd drag him to a doctor.
