I am trying to quit smoking and on a program that seems to help. Sometimes I run out of breath. What happens now, do I die soon? Is there something I could do?

General Q&A Answer A2912
Quitting smoking may cause some after effects. People who quit smoking may feel anxious, irritable, hungry, more tired, have problems with the sleeping, gaining weight or breathe problems. These are short side effects and usually pass soon. You might consider a gentle exercise program to help increase the capacity of your lungs. Qi gong, yoga asana, or other traditional practices are beneficial to many people.
