Awww poor .valkyrie! and poor you! I can't imagine how you feel Sad
I don't know much about thrush, but I hope she feels better soon and starts eating better. Maybe once the meds are in her system for a day or 2 it will help? My cousin's baby is still getting over Thrush. I don't know how long he's had it, I've been watching him for 3 weeks tho and he's had it since I started. It's only a tiny bit of white left in his mouth, and the whole time I've watched him, he's never had a problem eating. Just a bit of info so it isn't a surprise if her mouth still has the white spots in it for a long time. I'm sure it doesn't hurt all while it's white. I hope that can be of some comfort. Sad

Oni had thrush. It lasted for about 2 weeks. It kept coming back! Evil or Very Mad

it sucks. Believe me, I know.

Just make sure you wipe her mouth out after she eats. You can give her a lil water to flush her mouth/thoat out after she eats.

hope this helps a lil!

Sorry, have no clue. my mum always used gentian violet on us and on my nieces and nephews but I'm not sure that it's considered safe anymore. plus it stains everything purple.

joseph had thrush plenty of times, he used nystatin after a few days its starts to help a bit more, they said to boil all the nipples on all his bottles to keep the thrush from coming back, he never had many problems eating though, make u can try spooning it in teeny bits at a time i am not sure. but def boil th enipples on the bottles etc or if your breastfeeding make sure youres are clean because u can get thrush on yer breasts and keep passing it from you to your baby back and forth

thanks everyone

its starting to get a little better now, and she is eating fine again (she never stopped eating, just she would suck a few times then start crying like she was in pain)

i deffinantly boil the nipples, i know the yeast can stay in the little nooks and crannies

i wipe out her mouth before i give her the medicine, i didnt know i had to do it after every feeding, ill try that though (although she hates it when i do that)

thanks again
