You guys will probably flame but I would like to get advice. I'm 5'4'' weighing 85 pounds. I am 15 years-old and it's quite disturbing. I'm wondering what I should do to gain about 20-30 pounds because I am starting to work out and I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not. Any ideas?

I would suggest you look at your eating habits. Make sure you are taking in the required protein daily - for example eggs or tofu, nuts and grains and of course the needed vegetables and fruits. Remove from your eating "junk" items - chips, refined sugar, candy etc. If you smoke - stop!

If you are currently doing all these things and are still losing weight and not gaining normally - I would suggest you see your doctor or a naturopath - you could have parasites which can cause weight loss. DON'T PANIC! Just because someone says you MAY have parasites doesn't mean you have them - just something to be aware of. You can work out to build up muscle and you will gain a little weight but you need to compensate for your work outs with extra calorie intake. Good Luck and keep us up to date with your progress.

Alrighty then, thank you. I haven't started yet I just need the ideas if I come out abnormal. I can bench press only about 60 lbs ish. I'm hoping to get atleast 100 done within a 2 month training. I am also going to use whey protein shakes if that's possible. My friend also told me that with weigh protein, I can work out and bulk everyday. Any suggestions?
