Q: Sexual Infection From Boy Friend

I have noticed a yellowish discharge, chalky in appearance, on my panties. Also about two weeks ago started itching, pain on urination, redness of the vulva area and swelling and darkened urine.

He now tells me he has had another partner but they always use a condom. We did not. I am a widow and he swore he had never been with anyone except his wife.

Now, I am experiencing a very sore throat and checked my tongue and it is coated with a grey color. I do give him oral sex.

He says that I only have a yeast infection and that his wife has them all the time and it cannot be transmitted sexually.

I am inclined to totally doubt that.

Could this be thrush or even herpes?

I went in for an HIV test and going tomorrow for pap smear to check for other STD's such as Clamidia, Herpes and others.

Please advise.

Thank you.

using a condom does not protect you from stis, it only helps. and just because he has only had one other partner does not mean he is more likely to be clean. that one other person could have had an infection!!

it may simply be a yeast infection. if he is sleeping with someone who has a yeast infection, it can be transmitted to you during sex. this may be all it is, but it could be something more. i'm glad to hear you are getting tested, i hope it goes ok for you.

with herpes you usually get sores on the vagina & on the mouth it sounds like an std.
