My son was discharged from a mental health facility 2 weeks ago. He is 20. He spend a week there and his discharge diagnosis was psychosis and his therapist said he was extremely depressed. I have tried to tell his therapists that he was diagnosed at the age of 5 as having borderline low growth hormone level. He was very small all through school and didn't stop growing until after he graduated high school. He went through puberty later than his peers. Is there a possiblity that this could be related to his depression? If so what types of treatments are there for him. He is currently on a prescription that is given for Bi Polar symptoms.
