Too Much Sex Effect Pregnancy Later On ?? Posted: 06-06-07 01:16am
Can too much sex effect pregnancy later
on? Say I have been having sexual
intercourse regularily with my partner for
over 5 years. We have been using the
pull-out method. Sometimes we use
protection (condom) but most of the time
we dont. But he is extremely careful to
pull out on time, and I have not gotten
pregnant.
Now, In the future when I get married and
plan to get pregnant, will this history
have any effect on my chances of getting
pregnant? Because I have heard that when
the male pulls out it reduces the females
chances of being able to get pregnant in
the future.
Please reply back with your feedback.
Thanks

I can honestly say that
I've never heard of that, but I don't know
why pulling out would have anything to do
with future pregnancy chances. Sorry that
I couldn't be of more help.

Keep on using the pull-out method and
you'll be pregnant in no time!
The only connection between too much sex
and fertility is in sperm production. If
the man has been ejaculating often, there
will be a lower sperm count per shot than
if he hasn't ejaculated for a longer
period of time.

THere can be sperm present in pre-cum, so
you can get pregnant even if he doesn't
ejaculate.
You've been lucky!!!
But no, this doesn't mean you will have
less of a chance getting pregnant in the
future.

Thank you all for your replies.
It seems that everyone has the opinion,
and that there is no link whatsoever.
Regarding the pull-out method, it may be a
lucky-factor that I have not got pregnant
but more so he really cares about our
relationship and is very careful about his
actions... its been over 5 years now.

The thing about the pull out method is
that it is more effective than no birth
control, but there is a risk even if the
man pulls out every time before he
ejaculates because there can be sperm in
his pre-cum, and therefore it could get
into your body before he ever ejaculates.
So it's not just that he might not pull
out, but even if he does you can still get
pregnant.
Of course, it would be hard, but possible.
I am surprised that you have been doing
this successfully for five years!!
Not that it is a bad thing to do, but if
you really aren't ready for kids, the risk
isn't really worth it.

Exactly. Even if the man pulls out
perfectly every single time, you can still
get pregnant because sperm can come out
well before ejaculation. So you are
taking a huge risk every time you use the
pull out method alone. You are either
very lucky that you have not gotten
pregnant, or one of you may be unable to
have children.
The fact that he pulls out will not in any
way make you infertile though. That
wouldn't even make sense! The fact that
he pulls out is not going to change your
reproductive organs in any way to make you
sterile!
If you decide to try for children and end
up having trouble, you can see a fertility
specialist to see if there is a
medical problem with either of you that is
causing that difficulty. Like I said, if
there is a medical problem, you can rest
assured that it is not a result of his
pulling out.
If you really want to avoid pregnancy
right now, you should probably look into a
real method of birth control.
