Sexually Transmitted Diseases Forum - Positive Herpes Test, Can It Be Your Mouth Or Is It Genital?

I tested positive for herpes and was wondering if when you test positive and you have herpes of the mouth can that be the reason you tested positive? Does a positive test mean that its for sure genital? I show signs of something different around my genitals, but I tested positive for herpes. I know that I have herpes of the mouth, but not sure if its genital herpes around my genitals. Anyone know about this??
