Hi All

A few months ago, I developed double vision and was sent for an MRI scan. The result of this is I was told there is a possibility I have MS. l will be getting sent for tests soon to get confirmation one way or the other.

Whilst looking about on the internet, a few web sites advised me to take out insurance BEFORE the condition is confirmed as I would be screwed financially otherwise??

Can anyone advise me what I should be looking for? I've never taken out insurance on anything in my life but I don't want to leave a financial pressure on my partner should the worst happen as I am the biggest earner although I am in a long term temping job ie If Im not at work, I dont get paid!

Also, I assume I should arrange my holiday insurance immediately also? (I'm going to Egypt with my bf - our first holiday in 10 years!)

Can anyone assist me with this or point me in the right direction. Like I say, I dont want to be a financial burden should the worst case scenario raise its head and Im unable to work.

Thanks in advance

Gavin

Though I'm late and sure whatever was going to be finalized has already come, I hope you received your coverage. It still would have been difficult to get insurance quicker than the MRI, normally 30 - 45 days of underwriting. If you are no longer able to get health insurance, than I strongly recommend looking into a Discount Medical Plan. They're no insurance plans, but will give you coverage in many areas, and does not decline persons. Approval or declines depend soley on individual if they decide to register or not. But I do hope you received your insurance coverage beforehand.
