Q: Burning sensation in arm near elbow : Tendonitis ? Arthritis
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 4th, 2007
This burning sensation occurs once in awhile. Last only 1-3 seconds. I've tried to eat more fruit, water, execise, stay away from coffee or other caffine products and still have these hot spots,. its only at one place on my left arm, 1 inch below my elbow top side of arm.

You wrote:"Current medical treatment: hot spot on left arm."

The burning sensation you are experiencing around the elbow might be caused by tendinitis (inflammation or irritation of the tendon), or it could be inflammation of the joint. You can try with to temporarily treat the symptoms using anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen. If the pain persists, you can then consult a orthopedist.
