Hey everyone.

I know I've posted some regarding my Insomnia but I plan on calling my psychiatrist tomorrow to tell her the Trazodone isn't working for me.

I've tried Lunesta (pooped out), Zyprexa (made me gain too much weight), Seroquel (same as Zyprexa) and a few over-the-counter sleep aids.

I am hesistant in trying Remeron because of the weight issues related with it and also I have heard it's like Trazodone. And I don't want to take over-the-counter stuff as it messes with me after a while.

I am interested in any info on Ambien CR, Restoril, Sonata, any other potent sleep aids available. So please don't be shy as I really am desperate and need some help. And some sleep!

Thanks so much!

Do you nap during the day?
Is it that you are anxious?

I sometimes take melatonin but ambien just made me feel drunk and I didn't like it.

I also use unisom and it has worked the best for me without hangovers the next day. Over the counter too.

Well, I use to have problems sleeping too until about a month ago I was introduced to this product called Tunguska. I bought it off this website: askabouttheblast.com/leowal. I am going to buy a case of it this time around.
It does more than just calm the mind and relaxes you. It gives the body what it needs to function properly in all aspects whether mental or physical.

All the best.

Hello Baby Bunny,

You have a an option here to Ask Doctor just press it and ask any kind of medication questions or details because they are the one who can give you advice about medication and its best thing to do. Even if other member may share their medication information but there is no guarantee that the same medication is going to help you or work for your problem.

Marvin.

Trying Natural Remedies
It's quite alarming to me that drugs seem to be the answer to insomnia. One problem is the long-term dependency and maybe immunity to it after a while. What then? Search for another drug? Are you going to substitute drug after drug?

Anyone tried natural remedies - diet, establishing a routine, breathing and relaxation techniques, controlling your sleep environment, controlling colors, sounds and smells to induce a good night's sleep?

Anyone who's interested to learn more can PM me and I'll send you a link to try out natural sleep remedies - I don't want post links that might be against forum rules. Cool

Ambien CR was ok for me and better than anything else on the market (not over the counter). I switched back to Ambien, actually there is a generic form now and I take 10 mg. I did not have problems with drowsiness if I got more than 5-6 hours of sleep, but that's me.

I know people who have used Ambien CR or Ambien and have had success establishing a sleep pattern, so I think it's worth a shot.

Something I tried over the counter that worked occasionally was Goody's PM.

Good luck, insomnia is our shared curse, but don't ever give up trying something to get a good night's sleep. If you can just get into a pattern, it can make all the difference in the world.
