No, this has never happen to me, but I definately agree with your mom.

I get exactly the same thing it has been happening to me since 1994 ( I am now 2 doesnt happen ever period but happens every 3-4th month, it is scary and the first time it happened to me I told my sister to call my parents and an ambulance cause I thought I was going to die. I had no energy also.
But now I can actually feel when it is about to come one and I take two naprogesic tablets and I am way better than not taking anything, I use to sit on a heat pack also but have heard thats not the thing to do as it thins your blood and some people think being on the pill will also help. It is better but ....If you dont want to take it keep naprogesic tablets with you everywhere you go. Don't be scared like I was, and for piece of mind go see your local doctor with your mum. You will be fine ! Take care

Snekii- was there a reason why this was happening to you? Did the doctor say what it was? Mines the same..It comes every once and a while. Its weird and it seriously feels like im dying. Hehe..Its annoying!

I did go to the doctors and they tested my iron levels, I was anemic and I had iron injection ( if you are anemic go for the tablets ..... Injections bruised my hips - and they put them in wrong so I had iron stains as they call them on my hips for 10 years ( and yes I am being serious ) )
get your iron tested out, I still have the same symptoms as yourself even after I had the shots. I have been back and to another doctor and they simply said some girls are like that for three days ... Some girls are like that for a day it is your hormones and thats just life .... I guess.

Why dont you go see a doctor and then you can tell me what they say and it might help us both !

I know exactly what you're talking about and there are 2 things you might think of asking your obgyn about. First is dysmineria (i can't spell) and the next is endometriosis. Dysmineria is basically just very very very painful periods and they don't have any real reason, my obgyn figured that it was b/c my body produced more pain hormones during that timeso the pain was amplified (great huh?). Endometriosis, which my mom had (she's gone through menapause now), is where the lining of the uterus actually grows outside of the uterus and has no where to go so it absorbs back into the body causing scar tissue and that makes for more pain next time it happens. There are a million things you could have but don't worry too much, most are easy enough to deal with using hormone therapy which, despite some people's oppinion, is a blessing to those of us with hellish cramps. Do some research, which i'm sure you've been doing, and pray pray pray for the answer.

I know whats happening to you. The same thing happens to me, and recently I got very sick and the doctor thought I might be anemic. I don't know what makes me get these fatigue thingys, but it doesn't only happen to me before my period. It happens when i'm in the sun, when I get up too fast after sitting down too long, and usually it's when I don't eat healthful or when I do eat sugary foods. The same thing happens to one of my friends but more severely because she is a vegetarian and is anemic too. She gets the shots. I was tested and I am not anemic and my blood cell count thingy is normal, and so is mt iron level, etc. I still get these though, I think it's normal.

this is a good juice to drink if your anemic
ina juicer put fresh beetroot, a carrot, celery stick and some granny smith apples ( citrus ones ) and your blood will read pretty good and your anemic levels will go up. I also had the shots and I dont recommend them I have had 'iron stains' on my hips since 1994 yeap I am being serious not as bad now but they were, and my fat deposits on my hips now first.
It is pretty bad I hate them ! I use to be embarrest to go to the beach I would seek any healthy alternative way to gain iron in my blood.
As for going in the sun and feeling that way check your blood pressure doesnt sound normal and I would be persuing to find out what the cause of that.

It is not a stupid question I didnt know what had happened till I went to see a dermatologist and she was shocked ...... The iron injections werent put in properly into my hips and therefor under my skin on my hips I had black staining since 94 till around '02 they looked like massive bruises on my hips, felt very tender and horrible to look at. I got the nick name of rusty bum also ! Which I didnt find funny I know people who have had them in there arms and I freaked out I couldnt believe they would have them in there arms, and when I showed them my hips they were shocked !

Shannon this same thing happened to me in early pregnancy. I scared a lot of my techers because I would stand uo and then almost pass out. It was due to very low iron so now I take an iron supplement. I would talk to your doctor about it, they will test your blood. And if that's what it is, go for pills! Definitely! But always eat sumthing very strong after or you will have a horrible taste iny our mouth. Lol. And don't let them get you with those expensive prescription iron. I buy a 30 day supply at the dollar general for 2 dollars and ever since my iron count has been great. If this is what it is it can be easily taken care of. I hope you find out what it is soon!
