Anxiety , Stress , Emotional Stress , Fear of Having An Std Posted: 06-03-07 14:32pm
Ok. Lately ive been going through Alot of
Stress and Anxiety. I slept with a girl a
lil while back and I found out recently
that she went to the Health Department and
was Diagnosed with having Hepatitis C. So
lately ive been MAJORLY afraid that I
might have Hepatitis C myself. For one Ive
been Really Dizzy and I feel off balance
when I walk (I nearly fall over sometimes)
Plus, I worked out the other day and
within about 10 minutes my heart rate went
up and I was Sore (that usually Never
happens to me, since I usually workout for
like an hour or two before Stopping)
Ive also been up to The Hospital like 3 or
4 Times and i Cant keep racking up these
hospital Bills like this since im now
unemployed. Also, Ive been tested for
HIV/aids 2 Times and each time the test
results have been Negative. So Hepatitis
is the Only test I havent been tested for
yet and ive been Trying to decide whether
or not to go back up to the Hospital Again
just to specifically ask to be tested for
this, (ESPECIALLY since the Doctors and
Nurses now probably think that im Crazy by
now lol) Ive noticed that my Eyebrows are
falling out alot more lately and now seem
to be Thinner, and Yes I have read that
hair can fall out because of Stress or a
Disease that could be causing it. Ive
started drinking sodas lately and ive
noticed my Urine looks more darker (or
more Yellower) and my forhead is more
Oily.
Ive just joined this Forum and im BEGGING
someone to Please Help give me an answer.

You graciously looked at my problem, worry
and stressed out blog so i figured id take
a look at yours. Im a hypocondraite,
however you spell it .. and if i find out,
someone has the flu .. i feel like im
going to get it and i basically make
myself sick from worry. Maybe you do have
it, not to scare you, but the best thing
you could do is get tested so you dont
have to worry anymore. The girl you slept
with, could have gotten it after you, you
never know. The best thing to do is go
get tested, and maybe find a job!
hopefully you figure it all out

Yeah ive been thinkin that too, its the
Only way to be 100% Sure. But ive been up
to the hospital like 3 or 4 Times already,
and the Doctors and Nurses most likely
think that im Crazy right now. So if I go
back again they might just put me up on
The 5th Floor LOL (I totally dont wanna be
up there) and it would mean more Bills to
pay. Altho at the Same time, its SO Much
more Worth it to Know than not to know.
Because if I do by some chance have it I
wanna start getting Treated for it as Soon
as Possible so I can clear it from my
System and get back to normal again.
But Thank You for takin the time to answer
my Post and I hope I helped with Yours. Oh
and Yeah im gonna try to get another Job
haha.

Just to kind of get an idea of your
situation more...how long ago was this
incident with this girl? Alot of times
symptoms won't show too soon. In some
cases it takes years. Are you having any
jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)?
From what I read as far as dark urine if
it is dark yellow I wouldn't worry, when
it starts getting dark coffee colored is
when there should be a concern. Also are
you having any clay colored stools? Sorry
for asking such personal questions. Just
trying to get an idea of whats going on.
I am such a hypocondriac and I am
constantly thinking I have a disease. I
know your body can trick you into thinking
you have something when you've had a
"close encounter" with someone who has a
disease. Our bodies have strange ways of
making ourselves believe something. I
honestly would get tested though. Why
don't you go to a clinic instead of a
hospital? I would think the bill would be
a health forum for you. Also going into
the hospital or clinic and calmly asking
them for a test to check for the antibodys
that cause hcv they may not look at you
like your crazy. As opposed to
frantically running in asking to be tested
for hep c since you slept with someone who
has it.

the Health Department Posted: 06-03-07 21:21pm
Yeah the Nurse at The Health department
ive been to (like 3 Times now) told me
that if I did have Hepatitis Id have
yellowish Skin (which im not too Sure how
I could be able to tell since im Black an
what not haha) and she said that id have
Jaundice (or yellow eyes or something)
which it doesnt appear like they are right
now. Plus she mentioned that I wouldnt be
able to Walk (or put one foot in front of
the other or something)
She also told me that they cant draw blood
(or Test) for Hepatitis there since they
dont have doctors there (I Still dont know
if i should believe that since thats where
i got Tested for Hiv Twice an all. In the
end I just wanna be SURE im alright with
Proof** Then i'll Know that im just
Majorly Stressed out or something.
Thanks for your Input on the matter, I
Really appreciate it.

I suggestest rather than going to the
hospital to be treated and diagnosed you
should find a physician to see. That way
you have one doctor that will be seeing
you at all times rather than different
doctors each time you go in. If you have
one physician they will know you and will
be able to detect changes in appearance,
call out for any test requiered, and treat
you there in the office when they get
results (if able too). The problem with
going to the hospital they will only treat
you for the problem that you are in there
for. For the most part they want to get
you in there and out of there as quick as
possible so they can treat the next
patient in line. If they feel all you need
is a medication for the cure they will
fill out a perscription request then send
you out the door to check in with your
physician as soon as possible. If they
feel you need to see a specialist for the
problem they will give you a referral. The
best advice i can say is to find your self
a physician.
Good Luck
Heather

Wow heather that was the Best answer ive
had yet! Its like Everytime ive went up
there to the Hospital the doctors kinda
seemed like they were only concerned with
what i was there being treated for, and it
also seemed like they just wanted to treat
me for that with Anti-biotics and that was
it. Im Still debating on whether or not I
should go up there for like a 5th Time to
get blood tested for Hepatitis. I feel
like once I got tested for it id feel Alot
Better. I wanna make a decision soon, Im
Scheduled for my Second Hepatitis Shot
This Wednesday on the 6th.
But Thank You for your response, I
appreciate it.

I think the first step would be to go and
get checked by a doctor, you need to know
if you have hep c not only for your health
but for the sake of anyone else that you
may spread it to.
Second, it sounds to me like most of your
symptoms are stress based and you just
need to find a way to relax your mind and
stop worrying. I had to deal with a
similar situation and couldn't even sleep
because I was so worried. I went to the
doctor and everything was fine but I still
stayed stressed a lot. I started taking a
supplement that helps with brain function
and blood flow to the brain and it seems
to have worked really well so far.
