On the 11th of May,i fell down and sprained my left foot very badly and also suffered a gaping wound that left me with 6 stitches.I had my stitches out on the 25th and i was given anti biotics. But my wound had not healed yet so i was told by my doctor to do daily dressing by myself at home.

Now the wound is getting better and healed alot since i fell but it is still raw.But as it is near my toe,i have some pain on the underside of my toe.I went to my doctor and he said the skin had hardened and the hardened part was the only part that was painful. So he cut the hardened skin but the other part he said it was too thin to be cut.So i bought a blade from the pharmacy for removing dead skin and corns and i filed away all my dead skin.

But the thing is the pain still exists.Only when the hardened area is touched. The pain is that of a tingling sensation. Can anyone please tell me what may be causing the pain?Thank you.

PS-I do not suffer from any other diseases like diabetes etc and this only started happening when i sustained the injury.
