Q: Gastric Bypass And Meds

I had a RNY bypass 2 1/2 years ago. I was told at the time not to take Motrin or any anti inflammatory medication. I have recently had an arthritis flareup and Tylenol is not touching it. I was wondering if it would be okay to take Motrin this long after my surgery? I have never had any problems with the surgery at all.
Thanks, Frank
