Q: Abortion

Hi, my name is lexi, I am 17, I recently had an abortion at 20 weeks and I regret it. I debated about it for a long time, and when I finally decided, I was pretty far along. I know that so many of you are against abortion, but I just wanted you all to hear from a person’s point of view who have had one. I had a surgical abortion, I was in the hospital for 2 days and am still recovering. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

I am 20 years old and considering abortion along with other things. I have made a thread in please help just under yours so you can read my situation.

I just wondered, what was the procedure all about?
Was there any problems?
How did you feel before and after?
Why did you decide to have an abortion?

Thanks so much.

Was there any problems? Not anything major, I just had a lot of bleeding and cramps.
How did you feel before and after? To be honest I felt terrible, I felt hollow and I miss my little girl kicking.
Why did you decide to have an abortion? Because no one would help me, my parents threatened to kick me out and I would never be welcomed back, my boyfriend said he would leave me, and I didn’t have anyone and I haven’t worked a day in my life, I didn’t know where to go.

I personally would never have one again, good luck in making the decision that is best for you.

Aww thats terrible that you were forced into it. At least I can say that my boyfriend is standing by me. I don't know about my parents though.

So you knew it was a girl?
How are you coping now? Did you go and speak to someone about it?
Did you not even have the choice of adoption? Would you have considered it?
Did you get put to sleep through the procedure?
And if you had the choice of support from your boyfriend and family, but didn't have money or the means to have a baby would you still try?

One other question that is a bit off the abortion question, when you first fell pregnant, did you have funny pains in your stomach at all? Imean is it normall?

Sorry for all these questions but I have been waiting to talk to someone whos either been through it or is going through it as I have to make a decision
Sad

Omg Im So Sry!
Im really sry u were forced into it! Ur parents wouldnt even let u give it up for adoption or something so that it could atleast have a chance in this world! Wow I dont think I would amagin doin that but in some ways u made the right desision and vampd20 I think that if ur family is willing to still let u be part of the family u should go through with the pregnancy to let the lil person inside of u have a chance to live! Once again im really sry I used to think of abortion as homicide but I can understand in some cases! Be careful next time! Good luck both of u!

Abortion
I had an abortion 3 months ago and I still haven't had a period. All preg tests say negative. Is this normal. I also moved to a new form of birth control. Could this be the culprit?

Anytime you have a procedure to remove something that was not intended for removal it is cause for severe infection or physical complications. With some of the abortion procedures they use tools to scrap the inner lining of your uterus and that can cause rips and tears. A lot of those cause massive amounts of pain if not repaired. See your regular gyn and get things checked out ok?
