My pap came back with carcinoma in situ. Had a punch biopsy and that came back with severe displasia. While waiting for results, I started feeling pregnant- though I knew this was not possible. Frequent urination, low back pain, lump above pelvic bone. Doctor did an internal exam thought my uterus was large and that it may be fibroids or possible an enlarged ovary. Scheduled sonogram. The sonogram did not show fibroids. It did show "normal functional" cysts. What it did show was my uterus is enlarged! I guess about 12 weeks gestation in size. The doctor wants to do a hysterectomy. But first a cone biopsy for the cis, a d&c and laproscopy to see what is going on. I am a bit nervous. He did mention uterine cancer but, didn't really feel it was possible because little to no risk factors. I'm only 33.
Can endometrosis cause uterine enlargement? Wouldn't fibroids be visible on the sonogram? I am not having any abnormal bleeding. Anyone have anything like this before???
