Q: on the pill & light bleeding

hello...ok so ive been on birth control for about 5 months now and i have 4 pills left in this pack before i have my placebo week but today i had some bleeding ( like the beginning of a period...nothing heavy) and i didnt know this was possible...i havent missed a pill or anything and im confused. why is this happening?

This is perfectly normal. I wouldn't worry. Wink Your period can come randomly early or randomly late even if you are on the pill perfectly for many different reasons... stress, eating, weight changes, mood, hormone fluctuations, whatever. Don't worry.

also i forgot to mension a question....
do you think this means that my dose is screwy?
im on alesse and someone told me its the lowest dose birth control you can get. recently ive been more active and trying to eat way healthier than i was. maybe this fowled up my cycle?

Extremely eHealthy
Alesse is a low dose, but many women take it with no problems at all.

Because it is a lower dose, you are more likely to spot or bleed if you take a pill late, or miss a day.
