why did the two of you get a divorce?

We were never married. I broke up with him because he told me he was unhappy and he knew I wanted to have a baby. At this time I was dealing with a lot of family issues my mom was gravely ill and she did pass away.
He has lived with this girl right after our breakup.

well just because she was having his child doesn't mean he still wants one.I think people break up for a reason.you wanting a kid and him not wanting one is a very good reason.You'll resent him later if he wont let you and he will resent you if you do have one.I bet he wasn't too happy with her beingf pregnantand all but he felt that he had to marry her since she was carrying his child.Do you want to end up with your partner being unhappy and feeling pushed into a situation he doesn't like ir vice versa?Think about it hun!

Your right. I think he probably just wanted to do the right thing. I actually dont resent his actions he was living with her and sometimes things happen. He stepped up to marry her and by the way she was divorced once before but i'm not sure if she has kids from the first marriage. The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that we had a 10 year relationship and we did love each other and it basically ended because of the fact that my mind was set on having a baby but I must tell you I wanted to do thing in order meaning first marry me and then we can have a baby. I could have easily gotten pregenant by him but I'm not that type of person to get what I want. My mother had a saying and it goes like this "WHEN IT DOES NOT START OUT THE RIGHT WAY IT ENDS UP THE WRONG WAY" I always thought that was very true and I have seen this happen with many other people. My only problem has been that I feel he had no concise about what happen with us 10 years is a very long time it lasted more than some marriages, and what a slap in the face for me to find out that he has his live in girlfriend preganant and married her. I was sad to hear that she had a miscarriage but I must admit I thought well how does he feel now he married her because of the baby and now there is no baby but you married her! Hope it works out for them but I feel this is just the beginning of a lot of disappointments for him. You reap what you sew.

exactly! you have such a great outlook on this it's great.I'm glad you are a good person and not selfish enough to trap him.some women are like that na dit's very wrong.why have a baby with someone on purpose and then have them be miserable for the rest of his life with you?neither of you would be happy.You will find someone who fits you and your hopes and dreams hun.As much of a history you both have together,thigns will still be the same.I'm proud of you!

Believe me its taken a while to get to this point and it wasn't easy. Because of our long history together I do still love him very much. After we broke up he met this girl immediately no time to even let him self think about things jumped right in moved right in etc.... If he truely loved her why not marry her before she became pregenant. I'm not trying to be mean nor I'm I bitter but I just want express my honest feelings - I'm hoping things dont work out for him and he thinks of me in that moment and knows and understands how he hurt me. Some way some how I hope to see one day he get it all back. I hope when it does happen I'm the most happiest I've ever been in my life. Right now I feel happy just enjoying going out meeting people having fun but I hope to meet that very special one who is going to appreciate the unconditional love of a good woman. Hope he comes to soon I'm ready for It.

I know how you feel trust me.I wasn't in a ten yr relationship but I do know. Your a very srong person,I can tell and thats awesome!

Oh I'm really not that strong the fact is I don't have a choice but to be stong or it cand screw up you life. There are times I felt I was having a nervous B/D. I kept thinking why did he not do all this me live together, marry me etc... We knew each other well, he hardly knows this girl and just because you live with someone doesn't mean that you know all about them, heck I thought I knew him after 10 years and all of his actions now have shocked the caca of me....

Please tell me what happened in more detail with your 10 year relationship?? Its goood to talk about this stuff and I getting a lot off my chest now its your turn, what went wrong?
