I love the patch! The only negative side-effects that I have experienced are slight weight gain, and brownish discharge sometimes.

yeah, I have heard from my friend that her's comes off a lot, and if it peels just a little bit off it doesn't protect you from pregancy?

my patch occasionaly will peel back a little on the edges but for me it still works!! the only negetive thing that happens for me is that the lint from my clothes will get stuck around the edges and makes it look dirty! i hat e it but the lint won't come off!! its weird!!. . . i'd rather deal with lint than a few extra pounds though!

Doesn't it peel back when you're washing in the shower?

Sorry if it's a dumb question... I've never worn any sort of patch like that before.

I had a lot of trouble with mine coming off, and once i lost it while I was swimming and didn't figure it out until 2 days later. It was always itchy for me and left an angry red welt on my skin when I removed it. i found out later there was gluten in the adhesive, so i had to stop using it. It was a really great way to be on bc, though. i wish it would have worked better for me!

I guess it sticks differently to different skin, but I also think it has to do with the area where you put it. I try not to put it anywhere where it might bend or crease, and mine has never fallen off (and I've swam a lot), never come off in the shower, and the edges have stayed on.

I had asked my doctor about what happens if it comes off a little. Even if it comes of a little (the edge) it still protects against pregnancy: you still have a significant amount of estrogen in your body (60% more than the pill). If it falls off completely, you need to replace it within 7 days or else, after 7 days, you could become pregnant.

It also really helped lighten my period. I used to lose so much blood that I would feel weak, and the cramps would put me in bed for days, but now I am fine =)

I am a big fan of the patch, but to each their own =)

I've been on it for 2 years too and i love it. it does peel sometimes but you just have to apply pressure to it for awhile and i love how you can pretty much control when you want your periods!

I got nervous about the occurrence of blood clots, apparently there have been way more cases with heart failure and blood clots with the patch than the pill. I asked my doctor if this was a myth and he told me no it is true but still very uncommon. I rather keep my chances minimal though.
