I am in a real dilemna. My cholesterol is high and I was put on Vytorin. I did not have gallbladder symptoms till then. I then heard that Vytorin can raise the risk of gallstones? Is this true? Help!

Not sure. But just a little bit of info, you could post all 3 in one post to make it easier to get all your answers at once. Rather then 3 seperate posts. Ive never heard of that medication before, only med i know is birth control if you already have stones can make it worse.

yes
i think it's true. i did not have symptoms also but after 2 weeks of taking Vytorin, ultrasound showed numerous gallstones. a previous ultrasound a month before did not show that. and i feel blunt pain on my liver everytime i take Vytorin, i think it is caused by the development of gallstones. i have fatty liver by the way, i don't know if it contributed to it.
