Well, in order to fart right in their face, you would have to remove your clothing to expose your butt, then somehow elevate your butt to their face level. You would have to make sure that a good amount of gas would be built up so you could fart at that precise moment! If you can do all of those things, then sure, feel free to fart in their face.
And if you have a nice smooth butt and its me doing the smoking, I might not even mind it !!!

Smoking is a filthy, disgusting, not to mention expensive habit of people who are incapable of self control & certainly of ones who have no thought for or consideration for others.

Do they think of the rubbish they leave behind everywhere with the butts?
Do they think of their children - who can passive smoke & get ill or who can lose their fool parent to cancer etc ?
Do they think of others who are allergic to cigarette smoke (my daughter & I for 2) or those with breathing problems/health issues such as asthma who can need to be rushed to hospital & maybe die because of them (my son almost died in just such a situation - we came out of a shop to be surrounded by smokers!! & he was rushed to hospital!!)
do they think about the damage they are doing to the environment?
Do they consider the cost to the community & to health care?

Of course not they are way too selfish.

Actually I started smoking when I was like 11 because thats what all the people were doing, so I was young and dumb, but not being inconsiderate...Now I am stuck with the habit and have tried to quit but to no success. I can't imagine life without a cigarette, and believe it or not when I try and quit I cannot breath. Funny huh? So don't trash people because of something that somtimes we cannot help. I know that I do not smoke around non-smokers. I always stand far away, and if someone needs to be where I am at and asks I will move or put out my cig. But then again there are those rude people for instance...Once time I was at a train station and I stood totally away from people and some womens kids start running by me...So instead of getting her kids in control, she yelled and was like ew get away from her she's smoking, sorry but I moved so her and her kids could have breathing room. She didn't need to be rude...See what i'm saying. The more people are rude the more I want to blow smoke right in there face...Say something politly or don't say anything...If you ask I can guarentee a normal person who isn't a jerk will move or put it out for you.

I am a smoker also and I will be the first to admit its a filthy habit and one I wish I didnt have but I do. Smoking is my choice just like not smoking is someone elses. Some choose to do drugs some alcohol I choose to smoke I shouldnt be knocked for it. Where I live there is no smoking in public places bars, restaurants etc. We have lost lots of business here because of that people go elsewhere where they can sit and enjoy a ciggarette after there meal or while there having a few drinks. Its not fair to say smokers are inconciderate not all of us are like that but I agree with lovemeinfinite if I am in a place where smoking is allowed wheather it be a indoor or outdoor place and I am smoking and someone comes up to me and says mam could you please put that out I have asthma or I dont wanna breath it in I would be more likley to say yes no problem at all then I would be if someone came up to me and said put that stupid thing out that would give me all the more reason to keep puffing away. So maybe the non smokers should be a little bit more conciderate. Like I said its my choice to smoke and I will do it in designated areas where smoking is allowed the only problem is those areas are sometimes filled with non smokers and there the ones who do all the complaining so they have two choices as far as I am concerned either hold your breath or move to a no smoking area. But dont knock someone cause there doing something you dont agree with..

Yes, I smoke too. I started smoking at the age of 17. I have smoked cigars, cigarettes, pipes etc. Its a bad habit I admit, but im stuck with it.

But at least I am a very considerate smoker. I have seen some people have no respect for people who smoke. I went to a party last year and people were outside in the lawn. I lit a cigarette and went away from the crowd so as not to get smoke near them. Eventually the hostess comes to me and says that some people are allergic to smoke. Im sure it was all hogwash. Nobody is allergic to smoke especially when I am smoking out in the open! So I went to the other side of the house to finish my cigarett.

I have tried to quit. Sometimes I have gone months without smoking but then I see some friend or relative smoke and I get right back into it.

This is a public smoking forum, but if anyone has any ideas on any foolproof method of quitting please pm me.

There really are so many sides to this whole issue & reponses here (as anywhere) depend on experience & often what has just happened/been said.

I have often asked smokers politely to stop (& often this has been in areas that indicated no smoking allowed!!) & been abused or ignored. it is also hard to be calm about this because my daughter is so badly affected by smoke & my son has had to be hospitalized due to it (he had asthma - thank god he's outgrowing it).Plus my husband is a smoker (although not anywhere near any of us!! & as his father died from lung cancer & many of the men in his family have had lung related health problems I am so scared that we will lose him (although I could do with the insurance!! ). Then too I know that it costs alot & we could really use the $$ for so many other things.

Several years ago we had a series of anti-smoking ads that I still recall vividly (& it has affected both my husband & me in the same way - serious kissing went out the door!!) - these ads showed a person smoking & then kissing their boy/girl friend except what the non-smoker was kissing was an ashtray - it still grosses me out just thinking of it.

My husband too has tried to quit, but admits that this has been for us rather than for himself & feels that that is the main reason it hasn't worked for him. For some years I tried the tack with my husband of pointing out other sexy guys & saying that if he was intent on killing himself I was entitled to find a replacement & if I found one before he died tough. The thing is though that I love him & I don't want anyone else.

I do feel that there should be more campaigns aimed at preventing people from smoking & more accessibility, less cost involved in trying to quit. Some of the programmes here cost a fortune & there's no guarantee of course that they'll work.

Perhaps smokers could take a look around them & see how much litter is around that they cause, all those butts in the street, & I wonder how many car accidents are caused because someone is lighting up or dropped it & goes looking for it or just gets sidetracked from driving for an instant??

All I can say is haven't you got better things to do with your time that put down smokers. I don't personally smoke but many of my close friends do. They always ask if I mind before they light up and they would never dream of blowing it in my face on purpose.

Anyway, yes not all smokers are inconsiderate, but there are many who are. They give the rest of us a bad name.

I think prevention is the way to have less smokers, because quitting is very hard, becaus nicotine is very addictive. And to all smokers, try something else, like in sweden there is snuss (it's like some tabaco in a little bag and you put it under your lip) it has twice the amount of nicotine, so you don't need to smoke, it's healthyer because it doesn't affect the lungs and you bother nobody with it, except maybe your partner because you still have a bad taste...

i'm quite grown up thanks, but perhaps you need to grow up & perhaps broaden your thinking & reading abilities. First this is a forum for people to post their opinions, the fact the yours differ from mine doesn't make you more right or give you a greater right to post here.

As hotasfrick pointed out (& I believe if you bothered reading my post I did too) there are good/considerate smokers & bad/inconsiderate ones (i can guess which one you would be).

Also as jarlomein stated there are some good alternatives (eg the one in sweden) & I too suggested that alternatives, help to quit which was affordable etc was needed.

Try to learn to read & comprehend what people say before you post.

I notice that your narrow and close-mindedness stopped you from seeing that much of my anger with smokers/smoking is related to the very real and serious health issues it has caused both of my children and my concern that I may lose my husband many years before I would if he didn't smoke. Still I guess that your inability to understand this view comes from total selfishness & ignorance.

A bill was recently passed in ireland making it illegal to smoke in public places including bars & restaurants.Apparently its been a huge success (evern the smokers dont mind it!) & the government are now thinking of bringing it in here.
I personally hate when I get on the public buses & people are smoking cigarettes and cannabis despite the fact that there's a £500 fine if you're caught doing it.It stinks when your in an enclosed environment not to mention the fact that its dangerous.
I would rather go out & not come back stinking of people but until the new laws come in (if they do) then I cant do much.I have friends who smoke and I will stand with them while they smoke but the one thing I hate hate hate is when ive just washed my hair & done it all nice and someone lights up & my hair stinks!
Not all people who smoke are inconsiderate because a lot of smokers wont smoke in front of people who they know dont like it.I just find it funny when im in our city centre & I can see all the staff in the shops fagging it out the front.....Then I know its lunchtime!

My mother and I were talking about smoking in public the other day. I mean, she really hates it. And I said, (and I am a smoker) that if I choose to smoke and risk my health then more power to me. That is my freedom.
But, if she (or anyone else) chooses not to smoke and not to risk their lives then where is their right? Because when I smoke right by them, that risks their health. Especially since second hand smoke is worse then first hand.
I am a smoker, but hey, I completely understand their side of the issue.
But, hey guys listen to this: I left for vacation on sunday, had one cigarette on monday and that is all. I have not smoked since! Maybe I can actually quit this time! Wish me luck.

I agree with you that a lot of people who smoke are inconsiderate, rude and jerks, that is the whole problem, some people ruin it for everyone else. I smoke and I know it is icky and I have tried to quit and have not had any luck but I do have respect for non-smokers and I don't throw my cigarette buts(sp) on the ground or my hot cig. Out the window and there is such a thing as people being allergic to cig's! I would rather die of cancer than alzheimers, hey but what about all these dirty diapers laying in the streets, in the rivers what are we supposed to do, nag about all these parents with babies and all these seniors and disabled that have bladder and bowel trouble and the dirty kotex that are just thrown out the window and the people who dip snuff and chew tobacco that spit all over the place to me this is worse than cig. What about all these people that throw all their garbage around, and people who chew gum and throw it on the ground I am sure we have all stepped in a.B.C. Gum, they are no better and then there are the cell phone use in public and in there cars, that is really rude!! Well I guess I got my nickles worth!

Yes, there are so many rude, disgusting things that people do.
I don't have any problem with people driving with cell phones as long as they know how to drive. The problem is that we have people who don't pay attention anyway, then they pick up a cell phone too. Grrrr.
The only problem I have with cell phones in public is if it rings continuously and no one answers it, or if they answer and talk really loud, or if it is in a place like a movie theater or something.

Ok, if you really want to quit, go to the bellevue (washington, usa) police department, find the dare officer (bob) and ask to see the black lungs. Seriously, I saw them in the dare program. I almost puked, and i'm not squimish!

I hate that smokers think that they're only affecting themselves. I mean it's only going into their lungs, right?? No!!(caps) the smoke they exhale gets in 2 significant places (that I can think of). 1: the atmosphere-face it people, it's having an impact on the planet and global warming--the second ice age is gonna come quicker than anyone thinks if we continue at this rate
2: innocent people's lungs. Do you wanna kill the rest of the planet??? Two year olds have tar building up in their lungs from second hand smoke.
I hate second hand smoke--hell i'm going to die anyways, why not make it sooner? I'll probably live longer if I just smoked the damn thing myself!
