Question....... I passed gas Saturday night and felt something wet afterwards. (this is embarrassing but please bare with me). I went to the bathroom thinking that I must be getting diarrhia although I had no stomach pain but what I found in my panties was this horrible smelling mucus stuff. I was wearing dark colored underwear so I could not tell about blood buut when I wiped there was some red vein streaks in the mucus. About 30 min. later I felt the need to go #2 and when I tried to go two small globs of mucus came out that was pink tinged and when I wiped I noticed it smelled horrible as well. I finally did go #2 about an hour later that was normal and I haven't noticed anything like it since. I have had the mucus before (probably about 6 months ago on and off) with the smell but never with blood. I didn't know what caused it but I was pregnant at the time and just thought it was a side effect to the pregnancy since my bowles were always crazy. I did not have pain with it and I've never had hemmoroids unless I have some internal ones but I doubt it because I never experience any pain and I haven't been constipated in years. What could have caused the incident on Saturday? Should I be concerned about it?

Hi
Just read your post. I experienced almost hte same thing you did about 2 years ago, except I passed blood as well. I also had some pain going to hte bathroom afterwards. I do remember the musous and wondering what in the world? I have a family history of colon cancer (lost my father last year to it), so I went and had a colonoscopy performed. The gastro Dr. could not find any polyps, internal or externam "roids", nothing....I went in for an endoscopy and was diag. with H. Pylori. HAve yo uever been tested for this? They say over 80%people in US have this but never know it! Not sure how long I'd had it, but was told it could cause all kindsof symptoms and problems. I think you would be very wise to talk to your Gyn Dr about it, or at least you family Dr. It could very well be nothing, but its better to be safe than sorry......and you need to take care of YOU! Laughing
