Q: Im Bulimic And I Need Help.. Please

i only been doing this for a couple of days but i did it be fore....im 13, i weigh 158lbs 5'3, im bulimic... but i dont mean to i try very hard to lose weight.. im sick of seeing all my friends being so perfect. i wanted it to be my turn. so i turned bulimic...how much weight..have any one else lost. im misserable i would stop when i lost like 30lbs, i know it would be hard, but i would get treatment, i need someones advice, please help me Crying or Very sad

Dear,
you are taking important steps by admitting that you actually have a problem and what that problem is. Now you're closer to getting cured. It takes a lot from you, but you can make it happen, ok?
You're not overweight, you're not even heavy! And you don't need to be perfect or better than all the other people - you what valuable for yourself! :*

thank you so much.. i wish i could stop...i know it could harm me very badd...! but im not sure how and.. its just i hate being called fat and ugly.. so if i become skinny i will only have to worry about being ugly right?

Hmm it's not so easy. You'd get skinner and then it would never be enough. You'd always want more. So, the best you can do is stop now and convince yourself that you are beautiful, regular, fine Smile

hi love. i have binge purge anorexia so i know exactly how it feels to be caught in the cycle. its horrible, absolutely horrible. you would know the feelings you get when you binge and purge.. how much do you actually want to feel like this? you might think that its worth it in the long run, but living life is what life is about. live for NOW. capture the moment NOW.
there are always going to be people around you calling others ugly and fat. instead of trying to change YOU, realise that THEY are the ones who have issues and feel they have to put others down. surround yourself with ones who make you feel beautiful and amazing and that protect you from nasty people like the ones who were insulting you.
what you can do to stop:
speak to someone you trust and tell them ... like a parent, older relative, help line, youth worker, school counseller. they will advise you [hopefully!] on the best option for you.
if you feel you cant tell anyone face to face, maybe a phone call or the internet would work for you.

capture the moment and live for now.

U said this time it's only been a couple of days so quiting will be easier for u. If I were u I would tell whoever u live with so they can watch how much u eat and if u purge. U can loose weight a lot of better ways. With bulimia the acids from throwing up rot ur teeth, ur face and skin get nasty and u always stink, so do u want to be the pale, dry girl with the bad breath and no teeth? I don't think so, also women who purge can't have babies in the future. U destroy ur stomach pancreas all that stuff so look for good insurance if u plan to continue. GET HELP NOW! U can start on ur own don't go stuffing ur face eat healthy normal meals slowly.

I was bulimic for many years. I am 47 years old now. It started when I was 21 years old. After much counseling . I realized that it is not about weight at all. It is the need to be loved wanted and appreciated for who we are. So no amount of weight ever lost will accomplish that. Not easy to believe this once the bulimia has taken control. What starts out with losing a little weight turns into a self mind game. You decieve yourself into believing that this disorder defines your self worth.. Learn to care and love yourself . No matter what. That is the major goal for you. Be around POSITIVE people. Be a giving person to others and you will be o.k..... Stop now before it takes hold of you.... Best wishes

Ok
6 small meals a day will boost your metabolism.
Eat lots of veggies and work out.
Youtube.com has all sorts of excerise videos. I am a fan of 8 minute legs.

I too suffer from eating disorders. I work and struggle everyday to not fall back into it.

You don't want to be 20 getting brought into the ER because you decided it would be a good idea to take a laxative, shove your finger down your throat after not eating or drinking anything for four days. Let me tell you it's not fun. That was my lowest point. On top of that I was pregnant. Eating disorders are not fun and they follow you through your whole life.

It is a dark black life you are trying to start. Stop before you get too bad.

Get help!!! That is my advice.

Hiya,
Im also seeking advice so I know how you feel. Because You haven't been doing this for long stop while you can. Please get help because it is serious...all very well saying you wil stop after a time but when you get there you will say you will stop soon and it will keep on going on and on. I know because I have seen it happen to a friend and to myself. Tell someone you can trust and they can support you and help you. Well done for accepting you need help i know it's not easy so well done!

Being bulimic isn't going to help you loose weight, just make you very ill and you will end up in hospital fighting for your life if it gets out of control. And becoming skinny isn't really going to solve much.

I used to be always called fat and ugly and I've always been smaller than a UK size 8, if I were you, try and ignore those people, it can be hard and it does get to you. If you feel like you're overweight, loose weight the healthy way, that way you will be able to keep at that weight without the need to starve yourself of the luxuries which others may not be fortuante to have. And if you work hard enough to loose that weight you want to loose, the final result will be more rewarding =)

Stop while you CAN
being bulimic, or annorexic will not help you loose weight. ive been both, for almost 7 years. ive nevr lost weight from bulimia, and the weight i lost from anorexia came back after i started eating. the only way to to eat healthy and get excersize. by not eating you cause your body to want to retain anything it does get, so when you cut your daily cals in half for two weeks to loose weight, your going to gain it back really fast after the two weeks.

if you want to loose weight, DO NOT do any eating disorders. i know you think its just temporary, but thats what we have all thought. when i was 14 and would chew brownies and spit it out after i never thought that would progress to full on bulimia that would stick with me for the next six years. when i was starting high school i didnt know i would be still puking two years into university. if your going to stop, you have to stop NOW and if you want to loose weight you need to make LIFESTYLE changes, changes that you wont stop after 2 weeks. examples, not drinking pop, or no eating at fast food places, or no prossessed frozen foods. those are examples to improve your healthy eating, which will in the LONG run help you loose weight. remember, the slower it comes off the more likly it will stay off. loosing 5 pounds a week will temporary.

I was JUST LIKE YOU when I was 13. I was ugly, weighed wayyy to much - and EVERYONE..EVERYONE made fun of me. Elementary thru high school actually.
I just took it.
Now I have the worst image of myself ever. I don't care about my body because they made me feel so worthless and disgusting.
It SERIOUSLY took me until THIS YEAR to get my act together.
I've been exercising for 3 weeks now, and I have seen a very little weight loss, but i know it will happen.
Seriously, you just need to ignore all those people and do it right, yourself.

Also, try 'juice feasting' - not juice fasting. This means you go buy a juicer like Jack LaLane (im sure you've seen his commercial) and hit up the organic produce. Drink as much as you want. Do it for a week... even 2 days. I'm actually about to begin a 30 day one now, (or as long as i feel comfortable for) I picked up my juicer last night.
