Q: spotting after sex on birth control

I am kinda confused. I am on BC but I spot constantly. But I am curious because I have not had mu full on period but I have spotted like crazy before and after the last time I had sex. But I am still a bit nervous because I am not sure if it is possible I am pregnant.
I was safe when I had sex and I would find it rather crazy if I was on BC and used a condom and still got pregnant, but I am a bit nervous, plus I need to know if I should talk to my gyno about this.
Please can someone put my mind at ease?

How many months have you been on birth control? It is common to spot for the first three months. I agree it's unlikely that you're pregnant.

Talk to your ob-gyn. The amount of horomones in the pills you're on may not be right for your body. A different brand may work better for you.
