Breast Discharge What Is Going On ? Posted: 05-26-07 18:34pm
I have been very stressed at work and I
haven't been myself the past couple weeks.
I was just attributing it to the stress
that I have had. Then this afternoon I
noticed that I had a discharge from my
boobs. the left one more so than the
right. I have never had anything like
this. Is it normal to have discharge
without being pregnant? Granted I haven't
taken a pregnancy test, but I went to the
gyno for my annual about 2 months ago and
everything was clear. Could I really be
pregnant and having a discharge this
quickly?

Discharge from your boobs is not typically
an early sign of pregnancy. In fact, it
may signal an infection or high levels of
the hormone prolactin. High prolactin
levels can mess up your menstrual cycles
as well. You should see the doc and get
it checked out.
If you had unprotected sex recently and
are concerned you are pregnant and your
period is late, take a pregnancy test.
I'd see the doc again to get the boob
discharge checked out.
